Hey guys. Data Science Community - Landing Page Feedback

I know there is still a lot that can be done and can make this landing page much stronger. I would love to hear you say some of these and validate my assumptions.
The idea is to create a community for Data Science people struggling to build a portfolio. Or have a portfolio but don't know how to build a website for it (or simply are lazy to do it).
Any help is highly appreciated!

Sebastian, you are amazing. The feedback is just gold! Thanks a lot for taking the time and reviewing the website. I've just made all the notes and will start implementing your suggestion.
I am using Unicornplatform for the landing page and I am still limited in terms of what I can do (shadow behind the laptop, icon after the 3 steps). I will contact them and see if I can custom code those parts.
For the feedback from my side, I liked very much pre-recorded videos idea for this because it added the human touch and I was seeing your thought process. The only thing was the video was quite long. I had to set a time and a day to watch it and make notes.

I have never heard of Unicorn platform, I am checking them out right now and it seems pretty straight forward.

• The 'Subscribe' button in the hero section is unclear to me - is it the same action as 'Private Beta' or a newsletter or ?
(Assuming it's the former, maybe 'Join Beta' is a clearer call to action)
• Why do Data Science people want to build a portfolio? I'm assuming it's mainly to get a job, or maybe to get clients.
(If so, calling that out explicitly might increase motivation to sign up. "Build a professional, shareable portfolio site in hours" or something ... and then maybe a screenshot of somebody sharing a link to their Skillbaze site on LinkedIn)
