I'm Sergi, and this is my first SaaS :)
I am a freelance SEO consultant and web developer, and I built this tool out of my own need for a simple, affordable rank tracker.
I use the most popular SEO suites, but the number of keywords they allow you to track was too limited for my needs. So, I decided to develop this tool, without the extra features that other platforms already offer.
I don’t see Ranktracking as an alternative to those popular SEO suites. I see it as a complement for those with the same needs I had.
Also, if you aren’t an SEO professional and don’t have an SEO suite in your toolkit but want to track some keywords for your project to see how it’s ranking, you won’t find a better low-cost solution.
And of course, I’m doing Build in Public on my Twitter @TheIndiePath, sharing all the progress and learnings from this and other digital businesses I’ve created. So, if you're interested, feel free to check it out and let’s stay in touch!
Thanks!
Interesting approach! Keywords are definitely still useful, but with AI search shifting more toward intent and semantic understanding, I’m curious how your tool adapts to that. Do you see it evolving beyond exact keyword matching?
Thanks! That’s a great point.
At the moment, Ranktracking focuses on exact keyword tracking in Google because that’s still the most consistent and measurable way to monitor visibility.
That said, I totally agree that search is moving beyond exact matches. Google’s already interpreting queries semantically, and AI will accelerate that shift.
For now, I see keywords as a proxy for intent coverage: if you’re ranking across a set of variations, you can be more confident you’re covering the underlying topic.
From what I’ve seen on assets that usually drive a lot of organic traffic, the introduction of Google’s AI Overviews has caused a noticeable drop across searches — not only on transactional intent queries.
