Hiring: Full Stack / Web Developer for BitsForDigits

BitsForDigits is a Berlin-based startup offering an online equity marketplace for founders of profitable internet businesses to take partial buyouts from investors. We seek a full-time or par-time full stack engineer to help build out the platform to scale directly with the founders and team.

About the role

What: Fixed term full-time or part-time position (possible as intern as well)
Where: Berlin, Germany (hybrid work policy)
When: Beginning of 2022 (as early as January)
Duration: 4-6 months contract (with permanent hiring prospects)
Compensation: €2,000 EUR/month (base plus possibility for equity)
Current tech stack: AWS, Webflow, Memberstack, Memberchat, Integromat, Jetboost
Future tech stack: TBD (e.g. React.js first for new products and later whole platform)

Job description

Your role will be to head up the further development of an early stage fintech platform to support a global private equity marketplace for partial sales of internet businesses. Projects are subject to change in a fast-paced environment, but responsibilities will include:

Backend, Frontend, databases and web development of robust infrastructure and intuitive UI design capable of supporting new products and services.
Third party API integrations e.g. HTTP requests from Google Analytics, BareMetrics, Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, ChartMogul, etc. to support data rooms and due diligence.
Working agile and customer-centric with a focus on our user base of founders and investors, as well as maintaining and updating newly built software.

You track/communicate your work and commit to SCRUM-like work styles
You build software that is simple, stable, scalable, secure and speedy
You have experience working in teams and interest in taking on a leadership role

Requirements

Bachelor degree (f/m/d) from a university or university of applied sciences (FH): major preferably in computer science or engineering unless self-taught at coding.
Demonstrated exceptional ability in software and/or web development relevant to the position (e.g. during studies, internship, job, extracurricular activities, side project).
Current residency in Berlin, Germany.
Written and verbal fluency in English.
