I have just launched a new video conferencing app for teams ( https://cogency.io ) to make standups/scrums easier than it had been. (1-Click video team conference, etc...). I have a free plan so anyone can try it out!
I would love to hear some feedback ( harsh or otherwise ) as long as it is honest!
Some questions that come to mind
I WOULD LOVE to hear any feedback/comments :)
Thank you!!!!!
First of all: congrats on the launch! What was the biggest challenge on the product/tech-end so far?
I'm a bit biased since I'm building a product/project-management tool that's also heavily focused on scrum teams which is why the idea itself already is intriguing. Cogency can be a good fit for the teams that use my product.
A thing that would bother me is the No meeting link needed! which is what I'd bet people will need because it's easier to just invite your team via a link instead of manually inviting them via email or something else.
Like @artur124 already mentioned, I'd also expect some reasons to choose it instead of Zoom which became a go-to tool. That's what I didn't get at first glance - besides scheduled meetings with team members.
A thing that I also prefer over Zoom alternatives is the feeling of Whereby for example. Whereby doesn't feel like a corporate-heavy-app and more like a small, simple and private way to talk to others - but maybe that's just their branding. As far as I can remember their old branding it also was like a big-corp brand.
@kvn This is the point not to pass around the meeting link but to have everyone signin and click the "standup" video button. One of the major pains for any company I have worked for was to get everyone into the meeting. It was always a constant slew of messages on slack about not finding the meeting id, not having the most updated meeting link, etc...
BTW, Thank you for the great feedback!!!
Yeah sounds legit. I'd just provide an additional way to also invite and let people join via link.
As someone choosing a new conferencing app I wouldn't see this as a benefit/USP which is why I wouldn't expect it the first thing to be mentioned straight after the headline.
Sure, no problem. You're welcome.
@kvn That functionality already exists. Checkout the screenshot.

Nice
Congrats on the launch!!
I can't say much about the UI as I haven't actually tried it (nor is it my specialty), but I can give you some landing page tips. In a nutshell, you need more scannable information on the home page. As others have said in their responses, they don't quite understand all the features and benefits. Here's a video that goes into more detail: https://www.loom.com/share/f96725b11adb45acbfdbb64bea95f9d4
I took a look at the site. Looks nice, but would I switch from zoom?
@artur124 ...well, for starters its much cheaper, 1-click to join the video call
Also the whole team management aspect of it....
Besides it is intended for group conferencing...not so much for personal use
