For people who run video course like egghead.io, where do you host your videos? The only options I am aware of are Youtube, Vimeo and Manual S3 bucket. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
I would join appsumo mailing list. They always have video developer offers for people to host videos. Their deals are between $49-$79 for Lifetime access. They recently had one where the videos were encrypted and if people tried recording the screen, a watermark would show with their IP address.
Once you get to egghead size then it's probably S3 (or similar) with a custom player.
But you can get really far with off the shelf tools!
I use vimeo because they are reasonably priced and have good player options (like the ability to limit your videos to only play on certain domains), but Wistia, Podia, etc are good options as well depending on what you're looking for.
Thanks @chrisachard, I will check those out. Need to actually start recording first though.
s3 is where a lot of things are hosted
At Ministry of Testing we use Wistia.
Thanks Rosie!
