How about ConvertKit? Does anyone use it?

I love ConvertKit. I honestly just switched over from MailChimp about two weeks ago. And I was paying quite a bit for MailChimp.

It got me a long way...but then it became really, really frustrating.

It was really hard for me to segment and send the right kind of email content to the right person with MailChimp. And so, most of my emails went out to the entire subscriber base, inevitably being unwelcome to some number of subscribers.

And I didn't realize how many systems I'd put into place just to make MailChimp work! I had so many custom forms embedded into my WordPress site that through a 3rd party plugin I had to pay for.

Anyway, ConvertKit throws all of that into the garbage.

MailChimp organizes around "Lists" for different reasons people opt in – to go behind the curtain, I had a Work in Progress List, a Freelancing School List, and an Unreal Collective List.

In a lot of cases, the same person belonged to multiple lists.

You can fight against this in MailChimp if you figure out their new tagging system, but I was already deeply embedded into my own Lists/Groups/Segments nightmare.

ConvertKit only allows the same subscriber once and helps you give them specific tags. It gives me a lot of control over who I'm sending what to. And because it's single-contact, I actually am spending less money every month on ConvertKit.

I haven't written to the broader Work in Progress audience for a couple of weeks, but I've actually been sending more email than usual to folks who I know are freelancing.

ConvertKit also has beautiful reporting that can quickly show me subscriber growth, from which forms, and how each form is performing. Super easy to A/B test this way and see quick results.

Yup, it's the longest we've stayed on any email platform. My priorities are:

• email delivery (many discount options have terrible delivery rates)
• tags and custom fields for storing subscriber data
• automation tools

CK handles all of this better than anybody else right now and they are focused on tools for creators which is good for our community.

I've been using ConvertKit at work for a while. Great for B2B Sales. Unnecessary for everything else.
