How Can I Learn To Code More Effectively & Efficiently?
Hello Wonderful People,
So after so many false starts and thanks to the encouragement of a fellow Iher(@jacin), I have plunged back into coding and this time, I mean to stick to it.
I originally started with Python but just switched to JS (feels like something that would be easier to get small wins in and build momentum with).
Built my very first website yesterday following some YT tutorials (using only HTML and CSS though) and that got me so excited that I wanted my learning to take form of building stuff, not endless tutorials.
Here are the issues I'm facing with that;
A) How do I come up with website ideas or things to create? Should I just try to recreate whatever website I see or is there a better way?
B) As I would like to build something everyday: no matter how small, any tips on how to do that, keeping in mind that I'm as yet a beginner?
C)Should I create a website a day for practice or build one website/webapp and improve on it as I skill up?
D) I would love to chronicle both my learning and growth (i.e the projects/websites I build) and I want to do it either as a daily or weekly thing; you know, to keep me accountable and also be able to look back and see my progress. And if it can help if one other person, even better.
What's the best platform for this? LI? Medium? Git? What?
Any additional tips on stickability, maintaining momentum & excitement while learning to code?
Also, if you're a veteran developer looking to mentor a beginner, I will be eternally grateful.

B) Choose everyday one idea from A. Try to choose the smallest projects because one day is not a lot of time. When you gain some experience, change to one-week-builds.
C) At the beginning I would choose to build different websites that solve different problems so you can get broader experience.
D) I would choose twitter. You will have more interactions therefore motivation.
Some tips: You will find walls. At some point you will feel you don't understand anything and you will think 'programming is not for me'. Its a trap. Rest for one day and then come back. That wall will become a door. We all have been there.
When low motivation remember why you want to learn programming.
Understand this is a long way. And you have to take small steps.
