How do I visualize My Idea for Validation?

How do you guys generate visuals for non-existent products, both digital and physical?

I know it's a big thing in this community to validate a product idea before actually putting work into creating it, and I think it's finally my turn to do so, but I don't know where to start.

I'm mostly interested in visuals/images for a physical product, but I'm also interested in a myriad of digital assets as well. Courses, websites, custom software products. Just anything that you can't quickly mock up a fake version of, how do you present it to your potential customers?

Is this even something that is done? Maybe I'm either missing something or misunderstanding something. Who knows, this is my first venture :)

The most important thing is being able to get your idea across effectively, the exact way you do it doesn’t matter as much in the earliest stages if you are just looking to get a sense of interest. If you can effectively explain what a hammer does, you don’t have to show me a picture of it to understand why I need it.

There are a lot of mockups templates you can use to photoshop a visual representation. Some people upload hand drawn sketches. You can hire a designer on fiverr or upwork.

I always think you should validate the problem first and then see if your solution matches up with the problem it is meant to solve. Just my two cents.

    Good luck!
