A screenshot from one chat is a mood, not a measurement. Same prompt, new chat, different shortlist. That is why I stopped treating “we got cited” as a result.
What I do instead is boring. Five buyer questions. Four engines. Fresh chat every time. Each row is only: me, a named competitor, or nobody. Same five questions next week.
After a month the mention rate moves. One lucky run does not.
I am curious how other people do this without a dashboard. Do you keep a sheet? A note? Or do you just screenshot and hope it happens again?
The “fresh chat every time” approach makes the measurement much more credible than relying on screenshots from a single conversation. Keeping the questions fixed also gives you a much better way to see whether visibility is actually changing over time.
Glad that landed. I still mark the row competitor if it names me once and someone else twice. A week of the same five questions is the only number I trust.
That makes sense. The consistency of the repeated questions is what makes the comparison much more meaningful.
If you want the weekly sheet without building it, it is on my profile as a free five prompt snapshot.
That’s useful. I’d be interested in continuing the conversation beyond the thread — would you be open to sharing the best email to reach you on?
Happy to keep it here. The snapshot on my profile is week one of that log. The Money Prompt Lab is 30 days of the same five questions, with the tracker and checklist, $29 one-time, so you can see if the number actually moves.
That’s a much clearer validation loop. The 30-day comparison makes the product more tangible than a snapshot, especially if users can see whether the visibility actually changes.
If you want that 30 day loop, the Lab is on my profile. $29 one-time. Same five questions, tracker and checklist.
Makes sense.
