How do you develop your brand awareness?

You know how competitive the market is today and that almost every sphere of the market has big players that have been here for ages. All that makes it challenging to make collaborations, integrations, partnerships and so on. People and companies don't know your brand, so they don't trust you.
Did you faced with that problem? (I'm sure you did, but I'd like to hope that not)
What have you been doing to overcome this issue?
Sometimes (like today) this situation depresses me and destroys hope...
I've found that fast-growing startups are usually not that hard to integrate with. If you can point to some success and growth you are having, and sound normal in a meeting, you can get a set of API keys.
Collaborations and partnerships (build or sell a product together) are harder, since the other company only has a limited number of these it can pursue at once. You have to be the top choice partner for an area the company is interested in.
The way to build your credibility is generally to do the legwork to meet and sell to a few prominent customers - even a very small project - and get their agreement for a case study or to have their logo on your website. Put your brand next to theirs.
Even as a small company you can do this if you are solving some problem they can't otherwise solve.
It's a long journey. Keep making content. Over and over. And anytime you can get a customer testimonial, you should highlight that publicly. Brands are made in years and decades, but you can start getting awareness if you keep putting yourself out there. ♥
