How do you get feedback from users?
I ask because in the past, I've had trouble getting user feedback (especially bug reports), through basic text in a form/email.
I'm thinking about building a widget that would allow your website viewers to click and then immediately mark up their screens to give visual feedback.

In most of the cases there are much more problems in the User flow or in the business value of your product, rather than a bug or some technical issue. And therefore, it is critical to go talk with your customers.
This is not an easy challenge (for me at least - I struggle finding the proper guys to have an interview with). But you can use a marketplace to find a specialist who will research the business need with your customer for you, for example, this one - https://ceed.bubbleapps.io/

Although for your product, I'd be worried about out-sourcing idea validation. The founder themselves should be the ones doing this work to understand the problem better. As much as some consultant can give you a thorough report, it's nothing like talking to potential customers yourself.
I've definitely found this to be true.
I'm going to try to validate this idea for SaaS companies past the idea validation stage of their product.
That makes total sense provided you don't consider talking to people as a blocker :)
Many people prefer just implementing what they think is good, rather than go find real people to discuss it with. Plus, if you are located in EU dreaming about a startup covering US, it is quite difficult to find some real people as respondents.
But as an ideal solution i totally agree with you - the founder should do it by himself
There is some tool like it around, probably more than one.
Not sure it actually gets you more feedback, it's just a better context bug reports
True, it likely wouldn't incentivize or increase the number of people wanting to give feedback, just might make the process easier for both parties once it does happen..
