📓 How do you keep notes about Slack community members?
I reach out to every new member and over time I'll have interactions or calls with them. It's really helpful to have private notes about what they are up to and other things that will help me connect with them again down the road.
I currently send myself a private DM and tag the person (they don't get notified since I'm tagging in my own DM) with notes.
Do you all have a system? What's it look like?
Sounds like you can make a pretty solid workflow using Notion. I haven't done anything like you have done in particular, but I use Notion to track A LOT of things.
It's quite flexible and free to get started (I don't work for them, just pointing out you have no risk).

Yeah, I could create a Zap and send stuff from Slack into Notion or something similar. Ideally I'd have it all in Slack, though, so I don't have to go somewhere else to look at notes.

I built a what I call an ARM (Actual Relationship Manager) in Airtable to do this for our student community. Main thing is that I didn't want anything to get stuck in Slack, and to have the flexibility to expand what we're tracking from across various channels.

One of the main changes I'd note is that I have a Zapier trigger hooked up so that when I ⭐️ a message in Slack, it automatically saves that message into the Airtable for processing later.

I'd think twice about that goal - I've found Slack's search and storage to be extremely poor and inflexible, plus you've still gotta flip around panels and stuff. In airtable I can look up anybody's ENTIRE history in a few keystrokes, it's so much faster and more reliable than Slack itself!
