How do you make podcast show notes?

Do you write show notes(descriptions) for each of your episodes? Does any one pay for show notes?
For example Devchat does some quite detailed notes. Just looking to see what options there are out there .
I write show notes with timestamps but I'm not sure if it's worth it or not. It's a fair amount of work. One good way to make them easier is to get your episode transcribed by a service like otter.ai or descript.com. The transcript won't be perfect but it's good enough to help you figure out what notes to write.
It IS a lot of work.
We were initially thinking about including it as one of our add-ons[1] but decided against it. We wanted to price it at $15 per episode (for 100 words) but we found out that the time-money ratio didn't fit us.
