• How you product will solve the users problem

From the same perspective, I'd say that it's crucial to nail:

• Your Brand Strategy - What will you stand for, how is your Buyer Persona, tone-of-voice, etc. If you don't do this early on, you will have to re-do a lot in the near future.
• If you are planning a real launch (not only friends & family), a good marketing plan with clear goals. This will help you focus your efforts on the right things and not kid yourself by setting goals.
