How I Came Up with a Decent Product Idea: Building TechChee Tools

As a developer, I’ve always loved the simplicity and versatility of Next.js and React for creating small, functional web tools. I noticed that I kept building these micro apps to solve specific tasks, like image editing, simple calculations, and quick coding utilities. One day, it hit me: why not put them all in one place and create a growing repository of tools that I could easily access and share with others?

I launched TechChee Tools as a free platform, bundling these useful tools together in a single site. While it’s currently free to use, my long-term vision is to continue expanding the library and hopefully attract enough traffic to generate revenue through ads or an affordable subscription model. As an iOS developer, I have also started building some iOS apps and publishing them on the Apple App Store. I envision using TechChee Tools to showcase and cross-promote my iOS apps once the site gains traction.

The idea isn’t fully mapped out, but that’s part of the excitement. Right now, I’m focused on creating quality tools that people find genuinely helpful. For anyone out there wondering if their idea is “solid” enough to launch—sometimes, just having a fun project that solves small, real-world problems is all you need to get started.
