How I turned Reddit posting into a $7.5k side project
2 failed projects without a single sale. Then suddenly, $471 in first month.
That’s how MediaFa.st finally started to click.
It’s a tool I built to help founders grow on Reddit with a roadmap, that tells you WHEN to post/comment, WHERE, HOW and WHAT. You also can have additional side features, like scheduling posts, tracking karma, and organizing content strategies - kind of like Buffer, but Reddit-native.
What worked?
Niching down to Reddit & Linkedin (instead of doing all platforms at once)
Talking to early users, learning what they actually wanted
Letting the product sell itself via Reddit posts (yep, it’s self-referential)
Now I’m at ~$1.5k MRR with $7k ARR, and it’s growing. I’m still solo, and it’s 100% bootstrapped.

I’m interested in using your product. I want to promote my online webinars and online courses and besides LinkedIn, Reddit is a great place for more awareness. My problem with Reddit these days is that hardly any of my posts get accepted. It’s like I’m not allowed to post there anymore (I have lots of karma points). Would your tool be helpful to reach my goals? Great post btw!

What's the timeline of your $1.5k MRR -> $7k ARR?
"Talking to early users, learning what they actually wanted" - how did you pinpoint them? I got banned on reddit for 3 days for spamming. Not much positive response on LinkedIn either.

Reddit is certainly extremely valuable distribution channel for solo founders to reach to virtually any niche. However, given the sensitive nature of most of the Reddit communities regarding them blocking self-advertisers, I can see how impactful your product could be.

Curious, as you scaled to $1.5k MRR, how are you keeping track of all your experiments, feedback loops, and content ideas?
I have been experimenting with a simple workflow inside Teamcamp (we built it originally for client projects, but it’s been surprisingly good for capturing growth experiments + notes in one place).
Do you still run everything in a doc/spreadsheet or have you set up a more structured system as you grow?
