How many pieces of content do you publish a day?
I found this article that Gary Vee said you have to publish 100+ pieces of content a day.
https://www.garyvaynerchuk.com/how-to-create-64-pieces-of-content-in-a-day/
Do you hit that number? If so, how do you do it? Is it hard to do it alone or as a small team? Do you have a team? What’s the hardest part to hit this number?
Thanks
Yeah, sure... ask @harrydry if it takes 19 seconds to create a good tweet 😂
lol!
Not enough. But most of us would be required to do this full-time. And even if it was the case, some of us are mostly product/tech people and imho I doubt we would be able to achieve this in less than 3months. As stated by @cohoist even a seasoned marketer would have a hard time being able to do this ALL THE TIME 😵
I'd argue this is overkill for almost all indiehackers, bloggers and content marketers. Posting 100 pieces of content a day may improve the odds of your business becoming a unicorn, but it's going to drastically reduce your effective hourly rate and could lead to premature burnout. I gradually grew a programming site to over 2 million sessions per year over the course of 4 years and I rarely posted more than 3 pieces of content a week (a new tutorial, a tweet and an email).
I wouldn't worry about posts like this, if I were you. It sounds exhausting!
Thanks for your thought. Do you repurpose or repost your blog to other channels too?
Nope - I only published on my site. In my early days, I would occasionally answer questions on forums and I did a little backlink building but nothing crazy. I mostly focused on SEO rather than reaching an audience through different channels, but your mileage may vary. Unfortunately it's one of those things where two websites can do the exact same thing and get drastically different results. 100 pieces of content a day just feels like too much for 1 person to day and sustain for any reasonable length of time.
I read somewhere that posting consistently and frequently did build a large gathering continued posting so infrequently that there weren't much conversions or leads.
Eventually, the team decided to scaled back down a bit to one content a week and it worked well for them.
It depends on what you are looking for in an audience.
This is a good question @vasinl. I am aware of Gary Vee's recommendations but again, it can be tough as an individual or small team to put out that much content. I think in the beginning stages it is best to focus on high quality content and building up a solid portfolio of valuable insights for your company and niche. Once you get this ball rolling, you can then begin to create more and more "micro-content" based upon these larger pieces of high quality content. At least that is what I am trying to do with Startup Sanctuary at the moment. Focus on high quality articles in the beginning, and then begin to repurpose some of the insights from these pieces into "micro-content" shortly after.
Thought of creating 100 pieces of content a day is really an overkill what garvey states are not 100 different pieces of content it's about distribution he has this slide where he teaches how to convert one. piece of content to 50+ something what he means is creating content customize it a little for each platform and publish 100 pieces of content it can be 20 tweets, 15 Instagram stories and with a click of a button +15 Facebook stories now Twitter Fleet then post as a post on Instagram Facebook and so on...
It's not about 100 pieces of content creation its about 100 pieces of content distribution
