How Marcin Dudek 10x’ed His Plugin Price and Kept Making Sales

Poland-based developer Marcin Dudek built WP Multitool, a single WordPress plugin containing 18 optimization modules. The tool replaces the multiple separate plugins developers traditionally juggle to fix slow sites. Unlike caching tools that merely hide performance issues under static copies, WP Multitool runs offline, rule-based database analyses locally. It features real benchmark data for 52,000 plugins directly inside the WordPress dashboard.
Marcin avoided a traditional "big-bang" launch. Instead, he built the product in the open and marketed it directly to his existing audience. He introduced a lifetime license on February 4, 2026, at an early-bird price of $50, selling 43 copies in five weeks. Confident in the tool's true value, he boldly increased the price tenfold to $499.
Surprisingly, sales did not halt; he quickly secured ten additional purchases at the higher premium. Total net sales crossed $6,500 across 60 retained customers without spending a cent on advertising. Marcin proved that developers willingly pay premium prices for reliable, high-quality tools that respect their data and workflow.
