I am keen to hear the community’s view on how much you charge in online subscription sales without the price becoming to high. (Don’t worry about if the service merits the price. Assume that’s not an issue.
My standard SaaS service sells for about US$140 when paying monthly and $1230 when paying yearly. Customers pay with their credit card – no problems.
I am now introducing several new tiers at higher prices and I am wondering if there is a price that is to high for online charging.
I am not so concerned about the monthly charges, which will be up to $1000/month, but the yearly charge may be $10k. Is that price to high for most companies to pay using a card?
My alternative is to have higher paying customers pay on invoice, but I would (much) rather handle it all online, where there is no admin and no chasing payments, etc.
Looking at companies such as Typeform, they will only allow customers to pay on invoice if their annual bill is more than $10k.
I am looking forward to hearing your view and about your own experiences with this.
