This year I've been involved in leading and managing an SEO campaign of a B2B SaaS-based in Germany to which no SEO was implemented. But to be honest, we wasted a lot of resources creating low-quality content that we didn't have any insights on.
So that's why I came up with the Minimum Viable Content framework, which proposes the idea to create 3-5 pieces of content a month that drive the most impact on your MRR with the minimum amount of budget/effort.
The principles for choosing those pieces of content are:
Start from the bottom of the funnel, do not target uneducated users, rather target those who are already searching for solutions. Create "alternatives to X competitor" and "you vs your competitor" type of pages.
Create a list of pain points. Then based on that list create an article for each problem. Works like wonders if you match the heading of those articles with some keywords you found. Try to use the customer's language.
Why not just use Semrush for picking content?
I also wanted to note:
That's it, do that every month, and SEO at least will be covered (if you're not doing any of it)-
If you are looking to outsource this type of content for your SaaS blog you can ask me on Twitter, and I can help you out :)
