How to earn trust in Crypto space?

So recently my team and I launched a tool for people in the cryptocurrency space to help them protect their assets by making it easier to set stop losses. However this requires people to give us API key and secrets from their Cryptocurrency exchange site such as Binance.

We noticed when we first started marketing that we would get users signing up to our site but as soon but then they would sign up and get to the onboarding step where they would have to enter their API information; the user is dropping off.

It is also noteworthy to know that this step cannot be done on my site and requires the users to go to Binance and generate an API key and secret which they then enter to our site. We documented the whole process in our onboarding to help people through this but it seems that people still don't go through with this.

One reason why people are unwilling to share their API key and secret from Binance is because this allows a program to put buy or sell orders on the exchange site. Hence it is very important to trust the people with your API key.

So I guess what I am trying to ask is for advice on how we can overcome this challenge. How we start about earning this trust or enhancing our onboarding process so people are likely to follow through with the entire process. Any suggestions on how to overcome this challenge would be greatly appreciated.
