How to get my app looking good?
I am a backend developer who is moderatly comfortable with some frontend development, but cannot design anything beautiful even if my life depended on it.
I am very clear I do not want to UI/UX design myself, I'd rather want somebody else to do it for me. I am not entirely sure if I should hire a freelancer to do this for me, or where to find quality people. Any advice(from people with similar problems)?

My advice would be to get a professionnal designer. Go on Upwork, post a job, review respondants (and have a in-depth look at their portfolio). This will be a great start. Expect the cost to start from 500-1000 dollars up.
