How to handle SMS 2FA for Digital Nomads?

It's simple. I just use AnonymSMS. This platform offers free SMS services, using real SIM cards for their numbers. It's been reliable in providing me with the necessary codes wherever I am.

Uh, why is using 2FA SMS a problem for you, as a remote worker? To me, I don't see how being a remote worker is related to ease-of-use of 2FA SMS. Wouldn't the SMS be delivered to your personal (or work-provided) phone?

I don't know about you, but in my country (Australia), the Tier 1 telco's have phone plans which feature roaming which includes free sms receival. So when I'm in a different country, I have my phone on roaming, and it still receives SMS codes as needed.

I just have to be careful not to send any sms, or answer any phones calls, whilst roaming.

If it's troublesome for you to carry a separate phone with your 'home country' sim card ... you consider a dual sim phone. I have a dual sim phone and it's great for receiving sms whilst roaming.
