"How can I make progress faster?" is an important question that has come up over and over when I speak to other Indiehackers.
Here are three effective ways to do that (solo or with a team):
🎯 Find your focus
Doing too many things at once makes you busy, but not necessarily successful.
You need to plan and prioritize your tasks ruthlessly. Focusing on one thing at a time will lead to better (and much faster) outcomes.
⏳ Create space for deep work
To do great work, you (and your team) need space to work on their tasks with total concentration. Free from any distractions.
You need to weed out everything that gets in the way.
Cut out unnecessary meetings. Schedule the rest only within one half of the day. Find a few hours of focus time every day (or weekend) to get shit done.
🤝 Sync and Measure Regularly
On Monday, plan your week together to align on outcomes (1 to 2 maximum). On Friday, reflect on progress and review results.
Run daily check-ins to stay on track throughout the week. It's the best way to track progress and not slip up in execution.
Bringing simple structure into your work and giving yourself and your team the right support + space can unlock great productivity.
Move fast and break things, y'all :)
