How to work towards a good launch?πŸš€

Hey hi, so I'll be launching my indie project in a day but I'm a bit nervous about launch. Somethings that pop up in my mind are,

  1. How do I prepare for a good launch? Any strategies or tips.
  2. How do I get my product out there to get some good traction within first few days of launch?
  3. How do you combat the feeling of the launch not going great?
  4. How do I keep the momentum of the launch going?

This are just few questions I've been asking myself. I would love to know how you all manage your launch and get some idea abt it and prepare for my project launch.

ThanxπŸ™

To prepare for a good launch, I think you need to first build a good list of people that are willing to try out your product and provide feedback. secondly, you must ensure that you have set out what will be a success -- are you trying to convert them to a paid plan? looking for validation? asking them questions to improve the product?

The traction within the first few days revolves around your marketing strategy. What are you currently planning on doing? as this will also impact your momentum

I had a list of people to whom I reached out/emailed after launch. Also, the product seems to have validated in early development cycle where I shared it on Twitter and some other channels.

Atm, my plan is to gather users and then iterate over the launch and hope they'll convert to paid users based on the feature set in the app which atm is pretty solid.

I didn't had a proper marketing strategy, just had list of mails, posting on twitter and few reddit channels where I shared the launch. Though, I didn't seem to have gained the traction I thought i would on the launch. So I'll need to take a step back and think abt it again.

What are some good ways you can suggest to find other channels to market your product?

I can share some of my exp launching 2 of my products: Readily and Uniswap.fish (https://twitter.com/chunrapeepat)

1, 2. Be short and clear about what product's value you provide. And the most important (at least for me): create a WOW factor 😎

    1. I don't know 🀣 but asking myself what are the worst things that could happen and finding a solution to that answer really helps.

    2. keep talking about it consistently. (which I failed this one with Readily)(https://twitter.com/chunrapeepat/status/1633869675271716864)

      ah this is helpful.

yah, I did have an wow factor in the app but I quite didn't got the traction I hoped for after launch.

And yes, I def did consider the worst things that could happen lolπŸ˜…
Last thing is what I'm doing consistently right now. Lets see how that helps.

Hey, I'm a co-founder of an ed-tech start-up platform and we have multiple roadmaps to upskill for Web Development, SEO, Consulting, Finance and UI/UX design. We are releasing new roadmaps each week. Do check it out if it interests you. I definitely think it would be super useful to upskill or even learn something new.
