How will No-code Change the Future?

Hey IHers!

I'm currently working on a blog post to share predictions of how no-code and low-code tools could influence the future of software development and entrepreneurship.

I'm gathering predictions from top No-code founders and CEOs (Ben from Makerpad, Wade from Zapier, etc.), but also want to include thoughts from the IH community. Leave your predictions in the comments for a chance to be featured (with a backlink to your product/site)!

I recently wrote about my take on this in a post titled No-code is Eating the World, which contained a short section that included some of my thoughts on the future:

"Here are a few of my predictions:

  • The disappearance of “web designers and developers” will be complete (killed by wordpress, squarespace, wix, and shopify)
  • More and more complex applications will be built with no-code tools (look for AI, Machine Learning, and Web3 no-code tools in the future)
  • There will be an explosion of entrepreneurship, especially in economically depressed regions
  • Product Design will become more important because when the barriers to build anything come down, you introduce a premium on building the right thing
  • Design tools and Front-end coding will completely merge to create integrated Design Systems (Figma and InVision should keep an eye on Storybook)
  • Traditional software development agencies will be forced to adopt no-code and low-code tools as a part of their service offerings as customer demand drives down prices and timelines”

How do you anticipate no-code will changing things? Leave a comment below.
