I added up every SaaS expense I pay while at $0 MRR

I've been building indie products for about 6 months. Multiple projects, a bit of revenue here and there. I always tracked what I was making but never once sat down and added up what I was spending.

So I went through my bank statements and Stripe charges and listed everything.

Cloudflare: $5/mo. Claude: $20/mo. OpenAI API: $10-20/mo. Lovable: $20/mo. DataFast: $90/year. Another SaaS tool: $89/year. Domain renewals: $40/year base, plus $10 for every new domain (I have a few products so this adds up). And taxes just to keep my company registered so I can accept payments through Stripe.

Monthly total: around $80-90. Revenue: $0.

I was genuinely surprised. Each tool feels like nothing when you sign up. $5 here, $20 there. Then it renews and you forget about it. I didn't know my actual total until I forced myself to write it all down.

And I'm on the low end. I know founders here running 20-30 subscriptions across hosting, AI tools, analytics, email, design software. I'd bet most of them couldn't name the total if you asked right now.

I looked for something that would just show me this number. Income minus expenses, one view. I tried spreadsheets but abandoned them after 2 weeks.

So I started building a solution. It's called Saveyond (saveyond.com). Simple dashboard where you put in your income sources and expenses and it shows you your actual profit. You can connect Stripe or Polar for auto income tracking, or just type in your MRR manually. It flags duplicate subscriptions and stuff you're probably overpaying for.

Still early and I'm using it mostly for myself right now. But I'm curious if this is a real problem for others or if I'm overcomplicating something that a spreadsheet or accounting software handles fine.

Do you actually know your real Net Profit number? Like, revenue minus every tool and subscription you pay for? Would you use something like this?
