I was getting constant motion alerts from my camera and eventually just stopped checking them.
So I went back and analyzed a few thousand past events.
Rough breakdown:
• insects
• shadows
• rain
• lighting changes
~87% of them weren’t actually relevant.
It made me realize the problem isn’t detection — it’s relevance.
Cameras are really good at telling you
“something moved”
but not so good at telling you
“this actually matters”
Curious if others here had the same experience —
or found something that actually makes alerts reliable again?
