I Built A $10K A Month Newsletter in 13 Hours
Before you get upset, the title is clickbait, and my newsletter actually makes $0.

I made this post around 12:30 AM EST 8 days ago, and an hour later, my phone wouldn't stop buzzing; my post blew up. I had an epiphany to start a newsletter. While building it, my phone still wouldn't stop ringing. At this point, I knew I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and quickly edited my newsletter (took 25 minutes to set up) into the post. I went to sleep and woke up to over 100 email signups for my newsletter.
Once I woke up, I went to work. I knew I had to start a Reddit, and I did. r/bizflops
This is my first online startup, and it started as a joke. I want to document my entire journey of building this brand (BizFlops) and getting it to $10k a month.
As of 11:32 AM EST on August 15th, I have over 280 email sign-ups and 352 members on my subreddit.
I will check in weekly and share the news/updates on the letter, and any income changes. I know people on IH would love that. I'm 17, by the way, and have started so many businesses; the fact that this started as a rant is wild.

Reddit is such a fickle place to start. If you start something with the intent of selling people things, it seems to get eaten alive.
If you start something with genuine appeal for discussion - it seems to work a LOT better.
That is to say, I think not linking a newsletter at the beginning and later editing to include it after it had traction was a good move.

A good place to document your journey could be in the group build in public, I know they have in Reddit and IndieHackers.
