I built a language learning platform—but do people actually want it?

Hey Indie Hackers,

I started working on Lengpal, a free instant video chat platform for language learners, because I noticed that most language apps focus on grammar and vocabulary but fail at real speaking practice.

The idea is simple:
• Instant video chats with native speakers
• Timed sessions to keep conversations balanced
• Cultural filters & city backgrounds for fun immersion

I launched an early access page and tried promoting it on Reddit & Indie Hackers, but traction has been slow—only a handful of signups so far.

Now I’m wondering…
• Is this something language learners actually need, or am I missing something?
• What’s the best validation strategy you’ve used before committing full-time to an idea?
• Any suggestions on better ways to get my first 100 users?
