I built a Mental Background OS to make thoughts actually end.

I built this because traditional note-taking never really worked for me.

Writing something down didn’t make it disappear. The thought was still there, running quietly in the background.

Eventually, I realized that different thoughts need different responses.

Some need a new perspective.

Some need to be scheduled for later.

Some need silence.

Some require removing the temptation altogether.

So I built a system that routes each thought toward a different action instead of simply storing it.

The goal isn’t to collect, organize, or optimize thoughts.

The goal is for them to stop asking for attention.

I’ve started calling this a Mental Background OS:
