I've been building Obsidian plugins for the past few months. My second one just went live: AI Journal Coach.

Congrats on the launch! Upvoted. Obsidian plugins are a great distribution move + you get a built-in audience that already cares about exactly this kind of tool. How's the Product Hunt traffic converting to actual installs so far?
Honestly, PH gave a traffic spike that day but I didn't see it convert into anything measurable — no sales from that period. Since then the pattern across the whole portfolio has held: every actively-pushed channel (PH, LinkedIn, X) converts at roughly 0%. The only two sales I've had (across 8 plugins now) came from organic/community-directory discovery, not from any launch push.
That's a genuinely useful data point, and not exactly what I want to hear right before my own PH launch, but useful to know regardless (cries).
When you say organic and community-directory discovery, what does that actually look like day to day? Is it friends and word of mouth, social media, family, Reddit threads, forums, or something more like a plugin directory or marketplace listing that just sits there and gets found over time on its own? Trying to figure out if "organic" means passive discovery through a listing somewhere, or actual person to person referral, since those would need pretty different things from me to lean into.
