So I've been having a tough time getting the word out about my anti-cloud virtual server company ADTAQ VPS. The only traction I've received so far is from posting on a forum full of users looking to pay the absolute least possible in exchange for the absolute most possible. I'm not knocking them as it's a fair pursuit, however I'm looking for a value market, not a bottom feeder market.
I came across Jordan O'Connor's Rank to Sell SEO course and decided to sign up and give it a shot. I have to say, it is well worth the cost.
Using data acquired from the techniques discussed in RankToSell, I registered a new SEO optimized domain for a low competition keyword in my niche, Cloud Storage VPS.
Then, following the excellent Maker Box guide for landing page optimization, I added a product video, testimonials, and "trust" factors such as our young but promising TrustPilot score.
Long story short, I did not promote this new site in anyway other than this. I wanted to test these SEO techniques independently and see just how many people come across the page organically.
Fast forward a few weeks, and we're already #5 on Google (not counting ads, sigh) for our first keyword! That's nice but does not matter unless someone actually signs up... which they did!
A customer signed on for one of our annual 2TB Storage VPS plans at $200. Since RankToSell was $149, its already paid for itself in just a few weeks!
I realize SEO is no secret and this post is probably obvious to most of you, but I wanted to share my experience just the same and say I am officially on the SEO bandwagon!
