With the endless choice of note taking tools you may be wondering why on earth would I spend my time building another one.
I built Recall because I wanted a tool where I could easily create notes on things that I learn about everyday and I felt like no tool made this seamless.
My idea was to create an app where you could quickly create editable summaries on any information you come across on the Internet. It’s a bit like a bookmark manager but also enriches the information with data from websites like Wikipedia, Google Knowledge graph, IMDB, Goodreads, and many more. With this enriched information Recall can consistently categorise your notes and connect them with anything you have saved in the past that is related.
I started building Recall just for myself as a side project during COVID lockdowns, but because of the interest it has received, I have decided to go all in so I now spend the majority of my time working on it.
I found a very common use case that people have with their note-taking apps is to just keep categorised lists of things they want to remember. These lists contained things like movies to watch, books to read, links to recipes, cities to visit, inspirational people, etc. If you are one of these people I recommend trying out Recall.
You can try Recall out from our website here: https://www.recall.wiki/
And, of course, I would love to get feedback on whether you find Recall useful or not.
