I built ScriptToDoc to stop manually documenting code — would love feedback

Hey IH,

Full time SDE here, building on my off hours.

The problem: documentation is the most skipped part of software development. Everyone knows it matters, nobody does it properly because it's slow and repetitive.

What I built: ScriptToDoc — paste your entire code file, get clean documentation + specific improvement suggestions for every function automatically. Python, C#, JS, TS supported.

Where I'm at: waitlist stage, validating demand before building the full product. Zero revenue, zero funding — just a real problem I personally faced every day at work.

Would love honest feedback:

  • Would you actually use this?
  • What's missing for you to sign up?
  • What would make you pay for it?

I agree that documentation is important. You don't know how many undocumented systems I've seen. But what's the value add here? Any development team can easily have AI generate documentation in any format. What do you add to the mix that makes it a must-have for a development team?

Saving time on documentation is a huge win for developers!
If you want to see if this can turn into a real business, you should enter it into the Validation Arena.
