I burnt out building my SaaS. So I closed VS Code and wrote a 32-page survival framework for zero-budget founders.

Most posts on here are about hitting $10k MRR or a successful Product Hunt launch. This isn’t one of those.

This is about the dark side of indie hacking that we rarely talk about:

  • Refreshing your analytics at 3 AM to see 0 active users.
  • The "Feature Fallacy" — convincing yourself that if you just build one more feature, people will finally buy it (they won't).
  • The severe isolation when your friends and family have no idea why you are working 16-hour days for free.

I recently hit a massive wall with my own tech startup. I was completely burnt out. I realized I was using my code editor to hide from the market. I call it the "Builder's Trap."

Instead of forcing myself to write more code, I took a hard pause. I sat down and documented the exact psychological and economic framework needed to survive the zero-budget startup phase without losing your mind.

It turned into a 32-page manifesto. I call it The Raw Founder.

It covers 5 phases:

  1. The Mental Trench: Dealing with post-launch depression and founder loneliness.
  2. The Builder's Trap: Why we procrastinate by perfection and avoid manual MVPs.
  3. Survival Economics: How to fund your runway without VC money so you don't starve.
  4. Validating in the Real World: The 30-Day "No-Build" Challenge.
  5. The Art of the Kill: Setting objective "Kill Criteria" so you can pivot without guilt or sunk-cost fallacy.

No fluff. No "how to build a unicorn" garbage. Just the brutal truth of the trenches.

I’ve priced it at around $2.50 (₹200) because I want it to be a no-brainer impulse buy for anyone who is currently struggling in the trench like I was.

If you're building alone and feeling the burn, you can grab it here:

Would love to hear from other solo-devs here — how do you guys deal with the "Builder's Trap"?
