An exactly a success story but a positive outcome and lots of experience.
ProductHunt and B2B products are not the best fit. Something that targets indie makers/founders has a better chance of success. The product that we launched was PHPRunner: https://xlinesoft.com/phprunner/index.htm
It is a great way to connect with your community and customers. Most of the support came from likely-minded Twitter followers. I expect our existing customers to chime in more but it was a big ask. Customers left amazing reviews though that is a huge plus.
It was a great learning experience. I have learned that I need a much bigger network of makers/founders who are familiar with ProductHunt and what kind of value it offers. Something to work on.
I launched on Wednesday, a busy day. The winner had 600+ upvotes. If you are aiming for a badge, launch on weekend.
There is a bunch of ProductHunt checklists that are available. I liked this one the most: https://lucarestagno.notion.site/lucarestagno/Launching-on-Product-Hunt-A-Practical-Guide-7020d2deb472459dac6e97a49a0424ec#085f1be81ec14627809b3fb7a8336009
Happy hunting!
