I ignored the advice here

The standard advice here on indie-hackers is:

  1. Build a quick MVP, usually a few weeks
  2. Start marketing ASAP

Welp, I threw all that advice out the window 😅

I've been working on my LLM Ops platform for about 6 months now (yes I know, that's a long time 😅 ). I've also done (nearly) zero marketing thus far.

While I've built a waitlist, and validated through a landing page, I've decided to actually spend most of my time building a rock-solid product.

However, I'm happy to announce that my product is in a good enough state where it makes sense to start marketing!

As a result, I just built a small sidecar project (llmcalc.com). This site always stays up to date with the latest LLM prices, and allows you to calculate/compare LLM costs across models/providers.

This will be the first of several sidecar projects that make sense to deliver some free value to users.

Let me know what you think!

    Congrats, Ryan!
I really like llmcalc, basic, functional, straight to the point. All the best!

Thanks Martin. It's the first of several that I'll be launching next week! Feels good to get something out the door, no matter how small

Ah, I completely understand that feeling. We just released Toolbun a tool we created for developers, great to have it finally out! :)
