So, I was done with the university, no job, no skill haha, nothing. My friend Bliss, who was already an established web developer had always tried to talk me into joining the tech community as a developer or some other thing; he just wanted me to be part of the community. I considered it because all I had was just time and plenty of it. I had nothing to lose. So I gave in to his constant persuasion and I really appreciate Bliss for not giving up on me. He had his way of constantly reminding me of how smart I was and how the tech world is missing me ; maybe yes, maybe no haha but that's by the way.
I started taking one of the Udemy courses he got me and boy, it was mad fun. I had to start thinking straight away of the things I could do to make the world a better place, really crazy ideas call it impossible; but I didn't care I just wanted to be part of a project that would make a mark right away.
I won't lie, there were days when I questioned my faith in what I was doing but at the end it's all frustration- from the lectures or happenings around me but I didn't give up right? I just didn't see it as an option.
My friend always kept track of my progress trying to coach me all the way through now and even now. So one time, he brought up this idea of learning how to make chrome extensions and I should really give it a go and put something out there to build my confidence and I did. A learning experience I'm sure I'm never gonna forget, ever.
So to everyone out there trying so hard to get into this community, don't give up, Keep doing what you're doing. It's never gonna be easy, it's never easy actually. I look at myself now and then I look at all the shitty projects i took on my own and i just have a hard long laugh and all i say in my mind is "Progress, Progress, Progress".
So, Check out my chrome extension guys and let me know what you think. I'm not there quite yet but I know where I'm headed and all I can see is LIGHT...
