I realized most founders don't have an idea problem. They have a clarity problem.

Over the last few months, I've spent a lot of time talking with people working on startups, side projects, and small businesses.

Something surprised me.

Most of them already know what they want to build.

They know their audience.
They know the problem.
They know roughly how they'll make money.

But when you ask them to explain the project clearly...

everything becomes blurry.

The value proposition changes every few minutes.

The target customer becomes "everyone".

The business model is still "I'll figure it out later".

The weird thing is that many founders mistake clarity for planning.

They're not the same thing.

You don't need a 50-page document.

But if you can't explain your business in a few simple sentences, it's almost impossible to:

market it
sell it
raise money
recruit people
stay focused for months

I've started believing that clarity might be one of the most underrated competitive advantages for solo founders.

Curious:

What's the hardest thing you've ever had to explain about your own product?
