I Told a Founder NOT to Post on Reddit (Here's Why)

This might sound strange coming from someone who offers Reddit marketing...

But recently, I told a founder not to post on Reddit.

Why?

Because their account was brand new, they had zero community activity, and their first post was a direct promotion.

That approach rarely works.

Instead, I suggested they spend a few days:

✔ Joining conversations
✔ Answering questions in relevant communities
✔ Learning how people communicate in their niche
✔ Building a little credibility first

A week later, we launched their first post.

The response was completely different.

Reddit isn't just about what you post.

It's also about when you post and who is posting it.

Sometimes the best marketing decision is to wait until you're ready.
