🥉 I Took “Eat Your Own Dog Food” Literally. Flow Era Analyzed Itself.

I built an AI tool to understand why visitors hesitate.

Then I realized my own landing page was the perfect test case.

A few weeks ago, Flow Era got 35K+ views and 1.5K+ visits.

The exciting part? People were interested.

The frustrating part?

Still zero paying customers.

The feedback I kept hearing was:

"Your product analyzes hesitation. Use it on yourself."

So I did.

I installed Flow Era on my own landing page and watched what visitors were actually trying to understand before leaving.

The result surprised me.

The biggest hesitation wasn't:
"I don't understand what Flow Era does."

It was:
"How does the installation work?"

People were clicking:
→ Installation guide
→ Pricing

But almost nobody was asking product questions.

That changed how I looked at the problem.

The installation step wasn't just a technical step.

It was a trust step.

Because from a visitor's perspective, adding a script to your website creates questions:

Is it safe?
Will it slow down my site?
What does it actually track?
What happens with my data?

The funny thing?

The script is exactly what allows Flow Era to do its job:
understand anonymous behavior signals, detect friction, and help visitors at the moment they hesitate.

But I learned something important:

Even when your product solves hesitation, your own product can create hesitation.

So I'm curious:

If you were signing up for a tool that required adding a small script to your website, what would make you feel comfortable?

A security explanation?
A 2-minute video walkthrough?
A preview of value before installation?
A different onboarding flow?

Building a product that solves hesitation while experiencing hesitation myself has been a pretty interesting founder lesson 😄
