Hi guys,
We're building a social networking app for making friends around the world.
We have 250,000 registered users.
We still don't understand why people are looking for friends around the world.
To understand our persona, we want to create a survey with a few questions:
What do you think these questions will help us to understand our persona?
Thanks.
No survey will bring you as many insights as having 30 calls with your best users.
I did surveys for my product dozens of times. Built based on answers I received. I wish I didn't.
I tried to write to users via email but they didn't answer.
Well I think we will try to propose 1 year subscription for 30 min interview.
How do you engage users to pass an interview?
Thanks for the advice.
That's the main problem with an app and not onboarding the first 100 users manually - you build into the void. Yes, maybe give them a special offer for a short chat. Don't be needy with it, say - "want to choose the next feature? Just tell us what we should build -> calendly link".
Thanks, Denis
We will try do like that
your persona is a broad spectrum so in my opinion you can ask the users something like 'what in will help you to connect with new friends'. what will help the user to achieve the end goal.
Thanks for the idea.
I think users don't know why they need friends around the world.
