The significance of this post will only gain weight or garner momentum if I am able to deliver on a few key areas. But beyond that, using this medium as a long roll of digital butchers paper, is going to be a huge contributor to our ability to have success...
By forcing myself to agitate ideas through articulating the mental mishmash. In other words, creating sense from the weekly concepts we're juggling.
CONCEPT
SO, let's start here. First things first, the context:
I have been brought on to help my father on a project he has been hacky-sacking around for the last 8 years.
It's a SaaS tool for discovering and generating solutions to business problems. It is in the idea generation/digital whiteboard category.
The competitive advantage of the platform is that it actually generates an idea for solving a business problem.
The word 'generation' in the current state of the 'idea generation' category is largely redundant. The alternatives that currently exist, simply allow you to organise and collaborate with team member, whilst brainstorming activities ensue. They don't provide any problem solving capability.
I like to frame the platform/tool as; 'your business librarian'. It helps you discover solutions to problems that businesses have grappled with and solved. Then from there, you have a digital whiteboard/productivity app built in for further development of the idea and team collaboration.

OBSTACLES;
Look to be honest, the main obstacles are all within the self-discovery and learning curve. I am reasonably unexperienced in tech, but good god, I have the minerals to get after it. So I'll be sniffing around in every nook and cranny to absorb everything I can about the industry. I have a stunted start, but I have the habit of gaining momentum, fairly quickly.
If you don't mind an underdog story... In the sense that; we shouldn't be able to make something of this, given the tale of tape. But, if there is even a granule of Market Fit, you better believe I'll find it.
So, watch along. I'll be here. Slapping the keypad like an ape some days, or gliding over the keys like silk in the wind after I have found some level of satisfaction.
Really keen to hear anyones advice... On all things. So bark at me!
Father Son combo. Let's have it.
