In My "Peak" and Feeling Dumb

I'm 38 years old, have been building for 15 years, and am making the decision to diversify my career field for a better home life with my family. By builder, I mean homebuilding and custom carpentry, a rewarding but highly taxing (physical) job field. I sold my first furniture company in 2018, got out of debt, but was far from retirement. Now that I am building and renovating homes full-time, my schedule has taken me away from my family more than I care for. In combination, the industry is chaotically structured with pricing and value returns that make little to no sense. Feeling like I am often sweeping up the mess from careless contractors who built in my city from 2013 on, purpose is at an all-time low; the burnout is at an all-time high.
Enter my falling victim to YouTube videos of people 15 years younger than me making "passive" revenue with the click of a button using AI powered app development tools and so on. I jumped in full force, per usual in my nature. I tried working with Thunkable and X to make some apps, but the backend block work took ALL of my spare time at night trying to get the simplest of tools to work. After about two weeks of rebuilding the same thing overnight, I decided to take a break and look for another option. I landed on Lovable for a little concept idea and launched my first PWA within 3 days.
To be honest it felt like cheating and like I didn't really learn much, but it got me lightyears further than I could have at the pace I was going on Thunkable. My goal is to test a few fun ideas before committing to an app that launches outside of the PWA world and into app stores. The problem I am having is the monumental feeling of being overwhelmed with choices and options, all while feeling like someone else has already done it. I feel a little old, very green, and mostly embarrassed that it has taken me this much work to test out these tools.
Attached is the test app, a simple groupthink function that is aimed at cataloging the population's most thought-of word per day. Very open to any and all critique and advice; here to say it out loud so I can move forward and grow: I know nothing and need help.
