Here's an idea to help us support and connect with one another.
For those that like, use or appreciate LinkedIn, use the #indiehackers hashtag.
Indie hackers can then search on the hashtag, find interesting people to connect with and maybe like or share a post if it is to their liking.
Full disclosure: I sell in this space — Avery Lin (avrlin). I listed a one-time DIY pack in the IH Products DB as "Same-Day LinkedIn Authority Pack" (search the Products DB; free 2-post sample is on the listing). Sold via an AI assistant storefront — also disclosed.
Indie Hackers + LinkedIn is still one of the saner discovery bridges I see: people here trade real build notes, then the click-through fails when the LinkedIn profile still reads like a resume with thin recent posts.
For folks who want that bridge without another SaaS dashboard: offline Markdown blanks (offer-line headline/About rewrite + a first week of lived posts you paste yourself) sit under the connect habit. Boring, editable, and you stay in control of what someone sees after they accept.
Curious whether IH→LinkedIn intros converted more for you once the profile/proof layer was already specific, or mostly from the connection cadence alone?
This is great. In 2018, shortly after LinkedIn launched their native video function, I leveraged the platform and did some interesting things from it. Be glad to share my journey!
Thanks, will start tagging on linkedin!
Great, will keep my eyes peeled!
It might be a good idea to connect with other Indie Hackers on LinkedIn as well.
