IndieHacking on the go?

Hi folks! Question for the community. I'm not big into social media/Instagram/Twitter/etc., and mobile "thumb" games for Android are quite lacking. So when I have a few moments/minutes, I'd love to be indiehacking! Does anybody have any tools/tips/tricks for being productive on mobile? Thanks!

I like brainstorming and planning on the go.

It's tough to code, design, or be as productive away from my desk. But mental tasks can be done anywhere. I can research, learn, or think (Google, YouTube, writing ideas) from anywhere (with service).

    Some options:

    • Use cross-device apps like Dynalist to take strategic/mission-oriented notes on your business
    • Read e-books or listen to podcasts aligned with the challenges you're currently working on for your business
    • Outsource work using communication apps like Slack, Gmail, etc.

That said, I don't exactly recommend trying to fill every second of downtime with stress-inducing busywork. Especially in on-the-go situations where, let's face it, you can't rely engage your work with meaningful intensity. It often leads to the unhappy phenomenon of continuous partial attention, which can lead, in turn, to chronic stress, burnout, and reduced overall performance.

Fully agree. We need downtime to see the bigger picture.

Either learn new skills by reading/listening to books and podcasts. You could also bring your laptop or an iPad with a keyboard case to get some "actual" work done.

That's an interesting debate about what "actual" work is. Surely things can get done "on the go". It's something worth figuring out, what type of work could be moved? On the go, is "consuming", whereas at your desk, is "creating".
