I wanted to build something simple, fun, and insightful — a tool that takes everyday curiosity and turns it into a quick, data-driven experience. On HowManyOfMes, you can enter your name and instantly get an estimate of how many people in the world might share it.

It’s not just about numbers — it’s about identity, uniqueness, and how connected we are through something as personal as our name.

🌍 Why I Built It

I noticed that while we have tools to analyze everything — from our sleep to our spending — there wasn’t an easy way to explore something deeply human: our names.
Names tell stories. They reveal trends, culture, and even geography. I wanted to make a space where people could explore that in a fun, accessible way.

HowManyOfMes uses open data and probability models to estimate the number of people who share a given first and last name combination. The results aren’t exact — but they’re fascinating to explore. You might find out your name is super rare… or surprisingly common.

I’m working on improving the accuracy, adding filters by country, and maybe even a “name twin finder” feature. The goal is to make HowManyOfMes not just a one-time visit, but an evolving name-data hub.
