INVENTORY INC

Stop losing customers to a sale you couldn't actually deliver
If you sell on Shopify and somewhere else too — in-store, Etsy, a market stall — you already know this moment: something sells in one place, still shows available everywhere else, and now you owe a refund and an apology to someone who was excited about their order five minutes ago.
Built Inventory Sync for exactly this. A few things that make it different from just "another sync tool":
→ Safety buffer — hold back 1-2 units on your riskiest sellers, so even the gap between a sale happening and your systems catching up can't cause an oversell
→ Sync preview — see exactly what's about to change before anything writes, with anything dropping to zero stock flagged and shown first, not buried in a list
→ Real billing — runs through Shopify's own subscription system, not a sketchy third-party checkout
14-day free trial, no card required, $29/month after:

Still small, still validating, still want the harsh feedback more than the praise. If you sell on more than one channel, I'd genuinely appreciate you trying it and telling me where it falls short.

I like how focused the landing page is. The problem is immediately clear, and the receipt visual does a great job explaining it without needing much text. Looking forward to seeing how merchants respond once more people start trying it.

One small thing I noticed while trying it: when I entered a regular website instead of a Shopify domain, I got the "Missing or invalid ?shop= parameter" error. A more user-friendly explanation or an example Shopify domain in the input could make that first experience much smoother.

Really glad you tried it hands-on, and that's a genuinely useful catch — thank you. You're right, right now it just shows a raw, ugly server error instead of anything helpful. Already fixing it: the input will now catch that case before it ever hits the server, and instead show a plain-language message explaining it needs your Shopify store address specifically, not your regular website — with an example right there so it's obvious what to type instead.
Appreciate you testing the actual first-run experience instead of just reading the copy — that's exactly the kind of friction that would quietly cost signups if it went unnoticed.

Glad it was helpful! I always enjoy looking at products from a first-time user's perspective. Those little moments of friction are easy to miss when you've been building something for a while. Best of luck with the launch!

I set up a Shopify development store so I could properly try Inventory Sync.
I made it all the way to the Shopify install page, but it looks like the app is still under Shopify review, so installation is currently blocked.

Once it's available, I'd be happy to go through the onboarding and share some first-time user observations. Looking forward to giving it another try!
