Is this opportunity legit?

Hi all,

Recently we beta launched our travel inspiration sharing and planning app on the ios app store available in the US (https://loopit.dev/). We then were approached by an Investment Advert Agent form an UK based organization saying that their client is interested in investing in us as a Silent/Angel
investor. Has anyone here experienced similar situation and how do the processes usually look like? Are these legit? And, as a small team at an early stage, should we spend time and effort going down this path? Thanks in advance for any help!!

Does it look legit? I've got a lot of similar messages from funds, SEO & app store optimizing agencies, etc.

Most of them were spam and didn't look credible.

I did a bit of survey and so far both the investment agency and the client they refer to both seemed legit. We just don't want to starch ourselves too thin by spending too much time on it since our team is really small. Thanks for the comment!!

Focus is precious. If you don't need the VC now it doesn't make sense to bother.

BTW I really like your app idea 🙂 Looks great.

Yes. I was contacted by a VC firm when I launched on Product Hunt. Research that company and any contact/investor name they provide. LinkedIn and google search should be sufficient - check for any complaints and etc.
If everything checks out well, there will be a Zoom meeting. They will ask about revenue and talk investment money…

Where did you end up with this @Devin_LL_dev? I just got the same email.

They can be quite helpful if you are ready to present in front of potential investors, otherwise I'd say it's better to focus on building up your team, growing the product and preparing your data room before joining program.
